Nancy King Liberty

Nancy King Liberty died Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Midland Memorial Hospital surrounded by family. Nancy was born on April 2, 1939 to Nola and Luin King. She attended high school in Big Spring, Texas. After marrying Joe Liberty in 1957, they attended the University of Texas in Austin. Later they were thrilled to move to Midland so that Joe could begin his financial career. Nancy was proud to be active for many years in the Junior League of Midland where she made many lasting friendships. She loved playing bridge and obtained Life Master status. Interior decorating was a fun expertise for her and she was asked by most family members to help decorate their homes. Nancy and Joe were always proud to be West Texans. She is survived by her husband, Joe Liberty; sons, Todd (Martha) Liberty of Dallas; Blake Liberty of Denver, CO; sister, Sara (Tom) Webb of Myrtle Beach, SC; sister-in-law, Kay Dyer of Dallas; nephew, Jeff (Lisa) Webb; nieces, Julie (Riley) Kinlaw and Carey (Bryan) Kint; grandchildren, Beth (Trevor) Avery, Rachel Liberty (Dustin Fairbrook), Kristen Liberty, Jayden Liberty and Joseph Liberty and their mother Diane Liberty. She is preceded in death by her parents. Honorary pallbearers are Tom Moore, Jim Wheeler, Clint Hurt, Dan Michel, Frank Powell, Joe O'Neill, Jeff Webb, Jack Wilkinson, Joseph Liberty. The family will hold a private service. A reception will be held on Monday, July 30, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Midland Petroleum Club. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Midland Memorial Foundation, High Sky Children's Ranch or Petroleum Museum.
