Nancy L (Lowe) Nicholls

Nancy Louise (Lowe) Nicholls passed away at Ava's House in Sioux Falls, SD on November 14th, 2025. Nancy was born on Ladd AFB, Fairbanks, territory of Alaska on May 2nd, 1955. The family lived in Sacramento, CA until Nancy was two years old and later moved to Golden, CO where Nancy graduated from Wheatridge High School.

Nancy moved to Yankton, SD and worked at Mount Marty University, which allowed her to receive her associate degree and her daughter, Leanne, to get her bachelor's degree. She then moved to Sioux Falls, SD where she worked different office jobs until she retired.

During her adult life Nancy struggled with health problems, both mental and physical. While she didn't always win the fights, she stubbornly stayed in the fight. Her final battle proved to be to much for her physical body. Cancer Sucks!

Nancy is survived by her parents Ray and Dee (Guthmiller) Lowe of Golden, CO. Brothers Dan (Theresa) Lowe and David (Janet) Lowe of Colorado. Daughter Leanne (Matt) Harens and granddaughters Magdalyn and Alexis of Pierre, SD. Nancy is also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and other beloved family and friends.

Nancy is preceded in death by both sets of grandparents and her beloved sister Debra Stricker.

Nancy selflessly chose to donate her corneas to an individual in need and her body to USD to help educate future medical professionals.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials in Nancy's name can be sent to the Good Samaritan- Luther Manor or Ava's House both of Sioux Falls, SD.
