Nancy (Anne Marie) McNamara who was a ten-year resident of Odenton, Maryland, passed away peacefully on February 1st after a lengthy illness. She was born in New Haven, Connecticut, the first child of Joseph and Anne Marie (nee, Meehan) McNamara and lived with her parents and siblings in Westchester County, N.Y. she was employed in Westchester County by The Consolidated Edison Electric Company, and for 35 years by New Rochelle Hospital (now Sound Shore Hospital) as an insurance and home care specialist. She was an active supporter of the Local Fireman's Association in lower Westchester County and enjoyed ocean beaches in the summer and snow and cold weather in the winter.
She is survived by three siblings, Thomas McNamara of Bethesda, MD; Joseph McNamara of Satellite Beach, FL and Elizabeth Werner of Laurel, MD. She was a beloved aunt of five nieces and nephews and ten grandnieces and grandnephew.
Visitation and a brief funeral service will be on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 from 9-11:30am at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Highway, Bowie, MD 20715, followed by an interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 14801 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20906
