The League of Women Voters of the Houston Area wishes the family peace and comfort as you grieve Nancy Palm. She was a respected political activist who cared deeply for her community and nation. The League appreciates her contribution and participation in our democracy. The League recognized Ms. Palm in its first Repast with Political Pioneers some 10 years ago and we honor her again now.

What a great lady. I learned Republican activisim as a teen from watching her. Grace and Strength two things that she seemed to have an increadible amount of.
Blessings to her family. God wrap you all in his arms, just as he received her.
God Bless,

Additional tributes:

Reflecting on the life of Mrs. Palm, Senator Hutchison remarked, "Nancy Palm was a true Texas trailblazer and helped open doors for women to become involved in politics in our state. Nancy also helped build and grow the Republican Party in Texas. Her dynamic leadership and energetic efforts over the years have helped make the GOP the dominant political force it is today in our state. Nancy was a mentor and a true friend, and my thoughts and prayers are with her family during this time."

and from Jared Woodfill, HCRP Chairman:

On behalf of Harris County Republicans, I would like to take this opportunity to express our sincerest condolences to Nancy's friends and family. Nancy Palm was a spirited personality, a dynamic leader and a pioneering Republican who will be greatly missed.

To all of the survivors, I am very sorry for your loss. Be assured that she is with Jesus and the Saints. I met and worked with Nancy years ago for Republican candidates. Contact me if I may help in any way. My prayers are with you all.

Dear Nancy and Wyndham.....I know how special Nancy was to you. I remember all those wonderful times we had ballroom dancing with the different dance clubs - can you believe, over 50 years ago. It's a special time I will never forget. As a side note, Dr. Palm was called in as my husband's doctor when he was just a little fellow. My sincerest sympathy for your loss....Sharron Whitaker Martin

Wanted to share these remarks here:

Texas Republican Party State Chairman Steve Munisteri issued the following statement upon learning of the death of GOP Pioneer Nancy Palm. “When I first started working for campaigns in the 1970’s Harris County Chairwoman Nancy Palm was the inspirational leader of our local party. I specifically remember my mother coming home from Republican meetings at which Chairwoman Palm spoke and telling us how fired up she was and inspired by Chairwoman Palm’s message. For all those who have been involved in Harris County politics over the years Chairwoman Palm is truly a legend. She worked tirelessly for years to build up the Harris County party at a time when Democrats were solidly in control. I also have fond memories of her as an early leader in the Ronald Reagan for President movement and one of those responsible for his victories in Texas. All Republican officials in Harris County and Republican activists owe her a debt of gratitude for all she accomplished when it was not popular to be a Republican.”
