Nancy Polizzi Obituary
Born on July 19, 1935, in Wantagh, New York, she was the daughter of George and Barbara Johannsen. Nancy worked as a bookkeeper for many years before embracing the simple joys of life. She found happiness in gardening, feeding the birds, solving crossword puzzles, and spending time with her many grandchildren. She also had a passion for garage sales, always searching for hidden treasures.
Nancy is lovingly remembered by her children and stepchildren: Kathleen (Robert) Fripp, Joseph Polizzi, Kenneth Polizzi, Albert (Kristy) Polizzi, and Jeanette (Roy) Kain. She was a cherished grandmother to Jason (Amanda) Fripp, Jordan (Ashley) Fripp, Andrew (Kayla) Fripp, Clayton (Erin) Fripp, Michael Polizzi, Alyssa Polizzi, Joseph Polizzi, Michelle Polizzi, Krista (Brendan) Doherty, Kenneth Polizzi, Jennifer (Derek) Scannelli, Albert (Desiree) Polizzi, Nicholas Polizzi, Erin (Steven) Williams, John (Ashley) Gollery, and Angelina Holloway. Her legacy continues through her 19 great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents; her sister, Joan; her former spouse, Al Polizzi; and her beloved stepson Ronald (Anita) Polizzi.
Nancy's love for nature was evident in her fondness for hummingbirds-a symbol of joy and resilience that reflected her own spirit.
A private celebration of life will be held in late spring.

Nan was a very special lady! She whistled all the time. I often wondered how she took care of 5 children , saw they did their homework, had clean clothes everyday, beds made, made sure tbey went to the doctor and dentist, cooked wonderful meals, breakfast included. Her special pancakes wete delicious. made sure they went to the doctor and dentist ..she was the best mom. Ron cherished her. Both of them are missed. Fly high Nan!
