Nancy Hunt Powell

What a role-model for ALL of us!!! A lady, a Christian women who was fun and full of life EVERY DAY in spite of it all!!!! Love to the girls and Jimmie!!

What a pleasure and privilege it was to have met and worked with Nancy. A wonderful, bright and beautiful spirit and always laughter and joy. What a great loss to the world.

There are some who have a spirit and a laugh to go with it that will forever live in the heart and memory of any with whom it is shared. We all have been blessed to have known Nancy in some part of our life. Jimmy, my prayers and thoughts are with you and the family.

We are saddened to lose Nancy from this world. She is remembered by us as a gracious, beautiful lady. Seeing the Powells arrive at a meeting or event was a bright spot in our day. We count ourselves fortunate, as many do, to have known Nancy and to call her a friend. She was a tribute to the great state of Texas and to American agriculture. We feel for your sadness and will include you all in our prayers.

Thank you for sharing Nancy with so many of us over the years. If asked to describe Nancy with one word, I'd have to say, "Lady", a genuine lady in every way. The Jimmie-Nancy team were awesome to know and observe at cattle events for so many years all over the country. They always had a warm smile, a welcoming handshake and the grit to support what they believed in. As you celebrate her life and her homegoing, may God bless you and keep you my friends.

I have such wonderful memories of growing up and Nancy's kind and loving support whether in school competitions or in activities at Camp Waldemar. Wrapping your family in our thoughts and prayers.

Nancy was always glad to visit, and always had a smile, when we would meet at the post office (after the fanily noved to the ranch. we would catch up on our kids and their lives. Nancy will be missed.

I so enjoyed sewing for Nancy. I, too, loved her laugh and determination. I know she got some angels to check up on us when Jerry went to MDA and so appreciate that. She is a true example of a Christian woman.

Celebrating a life well lived. We will cherish the memories forever.

We say goodbye to an amazing woman who I admired greatly. Nancy Powell was never anything but ladylike, smart, funny and sweet. She was one of the kindest people I have ever gotten to know and never knew anyone who was a stranger. She fought a long hard battle with cancer but didn't showed negativity. She will be truly missed and I pray for the Powell Family and all that knew her as we miss her and say goodbye. Rest in Peace Nancy.

The adjective “indomitable” often attached to noun spirit is a well-worn description of persons with life struggles. However, my friend and long time patient Nancy truly elevated the description to another level. Despite living for years with a known terminal illness with an uncertain expiration date, she maximized her days in this world with an uncanny charm, wit, and humor that truly amazed me and I am sure most of her friends and family. Hello, my name is Amy White, I am one of the daughters of Mickey and Don Prescott. I am so sorry to hear about Nancy's passing. I remember when we were kids and we made the journey to Texas to see all the relatives, I recall I was struck by how beautiful and kind Nancy was and her photo brought me back to that time. I will pray for Nancy and for all the family in this difficult time.
