Nancy Lynne Roach

Nancy Lynne Roach, 62, of Sparta, Georgia, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022 after a brief illness and while receiving tender care and support from the doctors, nurses and staff at the Atrium Navicent Medical Center in Macon, Georgia.

Nancy was born September 27, 1960 in Hammond, Indiana and grew up in Hessville, Indiana. She attended Morton Senior High School and was a graduate of the Class of 1978. She grew up a member of the church family at Orchard Drive Baptist Church in Hammond, Indiana and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and rests well today in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Nancy is survived by her sons Christopher (Tiffany) Foss of Hammond, Indiana, Matthew (Mandie) Foss of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and Jaret Foss of Sparta, Georgia, and by her grandchildren Kortlynd Lukowski-Foss of West Lafayette, Indiana, Luke Foss of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Sasha Stevens and Cash Stevens of Hammond, Indiana. Nancy was a loving and devoted mother and considered her sons and their families the highlight of her life.

Nancy is also survived by her mother Doris Heft and stepfather Robert Heft of Sparta, Georgia, sister Judi (Pete) Hall of Social Circle, Georgia and brother Dan (Cindy) Roach of Winder, Georgia. Nancy was a loving "Auntie Nan" to her nieces and nephews Lisa Schiller of Atlanta, Georgia, Kevin Hulsey of Madison, Georgia, Tyler Cameron of Roswell, Georgia, Jennifer Hall of Suwanee, Georgia, Hannah Quehl of Winder, Georgia, and Kaylee Hall of Social Circle, Georgia. Nancy is preceded in death by her father, Edward Roach and brother Kenneth Roach.

Nancy served in a support position with the John Hancock Academy in Sparta, Georgia, and considers the faculty, staff, parents and especially the students of JHA to be her second family. She cared very much for her affiliation with the school and of the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the students and staff she interacted with on a daily basis. The family thanks Nancy's JHA family for their care and support of her and her family in her last days.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022, at 11:00am at the John Hancock Academy, 1100 Linton Road, Sparta, GA with Pastor Coy Hollinshead officiating.
