My heart is filled with emotions, Nancy used to drive me, (my names is Lisa); to All Saint's High School on behalf of my mother, Etta L. Jones, known as P.J.on the floor, 3F orthopedics at Washington Hospital Center in Washington D.C. They were 2 highly respected nurses who respected each other and were sincere friends, on the job and off. My mother would share stories about Nancy being a fair and kind Head Nurse on the unit. Nancy would speak up for you and do what was right. I didn't know Nancy had passed away. I just called Washington Hospital Center today, thinking Nancy still may work there or she may have retired but I still wanted to make the attempt. The operator could not find her for me. I was calling to share with her my mother had passed away 3 weeks ago, she was 89. Instead I said let me Google search to see if i can find her only to find out she too had passed. Rick you are in my prayers. Your wife and my mother are walking those floors together now, not just the 7am to 3pm shiift. I also remember Nancy being Italian and enjoying cooking,

I really enjoyed working with Nancy at WHC for many years. I found her to be very caring and competent nurse. I learned a lot from Nancy as we worked side by side on 3F. She was a good and decent and hardworking woman. God bless you all.

Nancy and I were best friends at Villa Maria. For four years we were inseparable. We attended the same college but went on different paths and lost contact until our class reunion last year. It was soooo wonderful spending time with her again and at another dinner soon after. I thought we would get together more often after we had reconnected. I am heartbroken we will not.
My heart and prayers go out to her family.

That smile took me back to fun times on Burton Avenue! We lived next to the Puleos and had many occasions to play together. My first sleepover was there with Nancy... and she scared me right back to my house! Know that your family is in my prayers for strength and peace.

My sincerest and heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family. I knew Nancy when I was growing up and saw her quite frequently when we were kids and into our teenage years - we were the Puleo's next door neighbors and they were like an extended family to us. Nancy was 6 years older than me and at young ages that is significant so we didn't really hang around yet she left a very positive mark on my life. I recall her Aunt Faustina always praising her and expressing her pride in Nancy's successes. It actually helped me gain my own focus in life. So, whether or not she knew it, she had a profound influence on me. I hope your fond memories and faith help carry you through this difficult time.
