Nancy Wuthrich Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 11, 2025.
Nancy Lou (Fredrickson) Wuthrich, a devoted mother, compassionate nurse, and spirited Verona resident, passed away peacefully at home on June 3, 2025, at the age of 85.

Born on May 20, 1940, in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, Nancy was primarily raised in Verona. In Verona, she met and married Donald Wuthrich on February 10, 1960, embarking on a 57-year adventure.

Nancy dedicated her life to caring for others, first as a mother to her five boys and later as a Registered Nurse. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UW Madison in 1974 while raising her family. She spent 27 years in nursing, primarily at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Madison, where she became a Nursing Supervisor.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wuthrich; her son, Darwin; her father, Fritz Fredrickson; her mother, Joyce (Marty) Fredrickson; and her sisters, Pamela Fredrickson and Lin Jenkins. She is survived by her loving sons, Daniel (Rosanne), Jim (Stephanie), Brett, and Christopher (Jenna), and six cherished grandchildren.

Beyond her family and career, Nancy nurtured passions for swimming, gardening, and breeding dachshunds. Her son, Brett, lovingly cared for her in her later years as she faced dementia.

A service will be held at Salem United Church Of Christ, 502 Mark Dr., Verona, WI, on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 11 A.M. A visitation will be held from 10:00A.M. until the time of service on Saturday at the church.
