It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Nancye Ann (Elmore) Ely, who passed suddenly on New Year's Day 2018.
Nancye was a 1978 graduate of Mt. Eden High School in Hayward, CA, where she had lived throughout her childhood years. She was an avid swimmer and prevailed in the sport, winning many meets and setting records in her school.
She is survived by her sons, Andrew Ely, Trevor Ely and Tyler Ely, her mother Mary Ann Elmore, her sister Pam Noard, her brother Tim Elmore, nieces and nephews Amanda and Nick, Echo, and Nicholas, great nieces Ashley, Eric, Olivia, and newest arrival, great great niece Ava. Her loved ones brought her the greatest joy.
We will gather together and celebrate her life on January 25th, 2018 at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward, CA from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Nancy I will miss your warm smile and great customer service !I didn't know you out side of your work at Safeway but I can tell you I always enjoyed coming in and talking to you about the week whatever was going on with the changes at work the holidays whatever we could find to talk about !I will miss visiting with you may god bless you and God bless and comfort your family and co workers this is a shock! no more self check out good bless rest in peace much love till we meet again
