Here is a palette knife oil painting Carol did in the 70s and we have been enjoying it for 45 years!

This is one of my favorite pics of Great, Great Aunt Carol and my Mom with our dog Bailey. Also our wedding present was a beautiful piece she did from our trip to the Galapagos. It is so beautiful! The second piece we are so lucky to have is a pen and ink she did of our 4 original kitties. She was SO talented and so sweet. Her art will be cherished and live on forever xoxo

As I am able to I will be posting pictures of Mom´s artwork over the years. A few of these are pictures of her original artwork. Others are pictures of works in progress or photo copies of originals. Mom was quite generous sharing her artwork to family, her friends, Shasta College art students and sometimes even to strangers. It brought her immense joy that others liked her artwork.

Carol was a blessing to all who knew her. She was my father´s cousin and we had many family gatherings with Carol joining in as a beloved great aunt and cousin. Several of her beautiful works of art decorate my house. She made a special pencil drawing of one of our beloved cats, Little Hairy, which has a prominent place in my parents´ home. My remembrance of her will always be one of great fondness and love towards her, and great respect for her amazing artistic ability. Rest in peace, Great Cousin Carol.

Im so sorry to hear about Aunt Carol. She will be missed. I´ll never forget her cutting my hair as a kid or the first perm she ever gave me. She was also there for me when I got pregnant as a teenager encouraging me to finish school and she was there when I delivered my daughter Kristin. I loved her very much and will miss her dearly.

It was so nice to spend Mother´s Day with Carol this spring and looking through her scrapbook of her Alaskan visits. It was alway so special to have her here whenever we had new grand babies to love. We will miss all our visits with her.

I am Carol´s son Andre´. We are all still stunned by mom´s sudden passing. In lieu of a memorial service, in the future we will be creating a printed memory book for family and extended family members. You are encouraged to share any special memories of mom and/or short stories about mom.
