Naomi Mary Davis Naomi Mary Davis was born on July 6, 1915 in Burk, Texas to a Methodist Circuit rider and lived in a number of southern and eastern Texas Communities. She graduated from Whitehouse High School. She received a Bachelor's Degree from East Texas State Teachers College and a Masters Degree from Stephen F. Austin University. Certified for teaching in the Elementary grades, for teaching special education and counseling. She taught two years at Lafayette, one year at Ebenezer, four years at Whitehouse and thirty five years at Spring Hill and retired in 1985. She was very active in Elmira Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Cumberland Presbyterian Women. She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Davis Robinson of Marshall, two sons, Charles Raymond Davis and Bobby Davis both of Longview, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Oliver Davis, three sisters, Stella Weesner, Charles Ruth Weesner and Nellie Hampton. Funeral services will be held at Ten O'clock am Saturday April 25, 2009 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel 1617 Judson Road. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Lafayette, Texas under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mrs. Davis passed away Wednesday April 22, 2009 in Longview. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday April 24, 2009 from 6-8 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Alliance of North East Texas. http://www.alzalliance.org/
