Naomi Jean (Pritchard) Wickersham-Bright, 90, of Pendleton passed away September 25, 2014 at Community Hospital in Anderson.
She was born March 1, 1924 in Anderson and was a Pendleton resident most of her life.
She retired from South Madison Community Schools as a Third Grade Teacher at Pendleton Elementary school for over 30 years.
She was a graduate of Frankton High School; attended DePauw University and received both her bachelor's and master's degrees from Ball State University.
She was a member of Pendleton First United Methodist Church and Spring Valley Quilters.
Survivors include her four children, David Lee (wife, Betty) Wickersham of Roanoke, Virginia, Donald Ross Wickersham of Wilmington, North Carolina, Douglas Alan Wickersham of Indianapolis and Rebecca Sue Wickersham of Pendleton; seven grandchildren, Ryan David Wickersham, Megan Marie Merrill, Amber Jean Kemper, Ashley Jo Owens, Craig Alan Kemper, Sarah Elizabeth Booker and Katherine Jean Solomon; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert R. Wickersham and Francis Cornell "Connie" Bright; and her parents, Hubert Guy and Lola May (Ulery) Pritchard.
A private graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Grove Lawn Cemetery in Pendleton with Pastor Dale Erwin officiating. Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m., Monday, September 29, 2014 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 21 E. State St., Pendleton, Indiana 46064.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 50 E. 91st St., Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
