Natalie Dodd

Natalie Jessie Dodd passed away on March 4, 2024, at the age of 31.

Natalie was born in Grass Valley, CA on October 15, 1992, to John and Lisa (Lehr) Dodd. She attended local schools and was an outstanding student. She participated in youth activities at Calvary Bible Church, and later attended Twin Cities Church, where she made her public profession of faith by being baptized.

She attended Sierra College and had plans for a career in accounting. In the meantime, she held jobs as an administrative assistant and a school aide. She met Eddie Brunkhorst at work, and they were married in 2023.

Natalie was brilliant, funny, and fun to be with. Her greatest loves were animals and travel. She was a master of quoting lengthy movie dialog and imitating animal sounds. She loved road trips, the family beach house, Las Vegas, and anywhere she could fly to, and got to enjoy an epic Mediterranean cruise with Eddie and her mom in the summer of 2023.

Natalie leaves behind her husband, Eddie; parents, Lisa Lehr and John Dodd; brother and sister-in-law, Steven and Nicole Dodd; sister and brother-in-law, Noelle and Joe Lewis; grandfather, John Dodd; parents-in-law, Ed and Joan Brunkhorst, and their family; aunts, uncles, and cousins; her most loyal friend, Jason Rogers; and her four beloved cats. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Joyce and Wendell Lehr and Effie Dodd.

Natalie's beautiful soul and beautiful smile will be forever remembered and painfully missed. Memorial contributions may be made to her favorite charity, Cat House on the Kings, or the animal rescue of your choice.

Rest in the arms of Jesus, baby girl, until we're together again.
