Natalie Vinyard Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 15, 2024.
Natalie Jo (Brackett) Vinyard began her eternal dance with Jesus on September 12th, 2024, after a courageous 4 year battle with breast cancer. She was a devoted mother to her three beautiful daughters Haven, Meadow, and Bouquet and a loving wife to Garrett for nearly 29 years. Born in 1970, Natalie had a natural gift for sharing God's word from a young age. Her first convert to Christianity at age six was her dog, Barney. Throughout her life, She continued to usher countless people into a relationship with Christ.

As a Mother, Natalie's unwavering love and dedication to Haven, Meadow and Bouquet were evident to all who knew her. She was their biggest cheerleader, attending every swim meet, water polo game, event and performance, always cheering the loudest for everyone on the team.

Natalie obtained degrees and credentials from Riverside Community College, Cal State Fullerton, Chapman University and the University of San Diego. Her education allowed her to pursue her career as an elementary school teacher at Harvest Christian School, Perris Elementary School District and for the past 24 years the San Jacinto Unified School District.

Natalie is survived by her devoted husband and best friend Garrett, her daughters Haven, Meadow and Bouquet, her parents Mahlon and Linda Brackett and her brother Bill. She is loved by countless family members and friends whom will forever cherish the joy, love and kindness she brought into their lives.

A Celebration of Life for Natalie will take place with her family and friends on Saturday October 5, 2024 at Grace Fellowship Bible Church. The service will begin at 10:30 with a reception to follow. 5th grade teacher before Covid hit. Was a true hero and a strong woman. I just had heard about her death going back to my school and the pain I felt that night.

She was my 5 grade teacher in 2018-2019... Inhad a lot of good memories with her and I´m very shocked to hear about this. I still remember her saying when I get nominated for a Grammy to mention my 5th grade teacher who always believed in me. R.i.p.

The best Matron of Honor, the one who told me I would find the "one", the one who stood by my side when I did and supported me, she showed me grace, love, friendship and so much more. Truly one of a kind and so very special. I love you Natalie and will miss you terribly until I see you again.

I remember the day a couple years ago, when I heard someone calling out my name when I was in my backyard. It was Natalie at the fence saying hello. Even though I knew she was not feeling well, she was always smiling and so kind. I still look at the fence for a split second expecting to see her standing there. She is missed. God bless her family during in this time of sorrow. Rest in peace dear Natalie.

She was my next door neighbor at Park Hill where she brought joy and laughter to all. We were advisors to each other when we struggled to find ways to connect with students. I always left those conversations uplifted and ready to try again. I hope she did, too. She always shared her girls’ triumphs and was so proud of them. She always described Garret as her ‘ best friend and husband’ and the story of their friendship then romance is one of the best I’ve ever heard. Rest in peace my friend, Leslie Searl.

I had the honor of having Bouquet in my 1st grade class at Community Christian Church. She was a wonderful parent to her girls. In fact, she arranged a last minute field trip to Cardenas in San Jacinto. I pray for her husband and girls during this time.

Mrs. Vineyard was my 3rd grade teacher at Hyatt. I remember Mrs Vineyard talking to the class about the importance of listening to our parents, especially while driving.

Now I'm 29, and am actually a member of the breast cancer community.
Not only was she my previous teacher, she became a pink sister without even knowing.

To her girls, know that your mom was amazing, her smile was so beautiful and her message to "listen to your parents" followed me into parenthood.
May the memories with your mom live in your hearts forever.

Mrs Vineyard, rest, enjoy the Heavens, and give our Lord the biggest hug.

I remember running into Garrett and Natalie at the grocery store with all three girls in the shopping cart (no room for groceries). They were having so much fun as a family and it really impacted me the value of moments like this.

I am so blessed to have grown up with Natalie. She was always kind and so talented. The love she has for Garrett and the girls is so admirable; my heart breaks for them. Natalie's smile would light up a room any day, but I never saw it shine as bright as when she walked Haven down the aisle. An Angel got her wings.

I will always remember how kind Mrs. Vinyard was. From the very first moment I met her she welcomed me into her home with open arms. Every time I saw her after she greeted me with a big smile. She was always genuinely excited to see me. May she rest in peace.
