My dad, Abraham Newman and I are very sorry to hear of your loss. We did not know Bob long at the hebrew home but feel blessed to have made his acquaintance. My father and him hit it off right away and talked for many hours about little things (about family, friends, their lives, & especially the bad food). My father always mentioned Bob in his conversations and on several occasions with the nurse's permission I watched them sit and eat a few goodies from Cherylann's bakery and they were so happy.
When one of them was having a bad day they seemed to cheer each other up. We were only able to visit Bob once when he was on the 3rd floor medical unit but my father was happy to see him and vice versa. Each was concerned how the other was doing. It was nice to see they truly had become friends.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to you at this time of sorrow. Again our deepest sympathy. May the happy memories outway your sorrow.
