Pete,

When I think back on my life, I can't help but realize what a huge hole there would have been without you and your family. First, there were all those Saturday nights that our families spent together. Then there were the times that all of us kids got to go square dancing, when you, Jane and our parents went. We also got to play at the park when you adults played tennis. And some of the best times were all the weeks that you took us skating and then for ice cream afterwards. You have forever blessed not only your own family, but ours as well. You will be missed.

Pete,

I can't remember a time when our families weren't connected. The Saturday night get-togethers and growing up with your family are such an integral part of my childhood memories. Life-long friendships such as the one you shared with my parents don't happen by accident and your shared values are the foundation. Thank you for being a part of my life. You will be greatly missed.

He has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often and loved much; who has gained the respect of intelligent men and the love of little children; who has filled his niche and accomplished his task; who has left the world better than he found it . . . whose life was an inspiration; whose memory a benediction. (Bessie Stanley, 1905)

Pete: As friends of well over 50 years, we remember all the great times we had together. How about that trip down to the Havasupai Canyon? We all got old enough that we were just glad to remember it and not do it again! We had so many notable times together and as I remember, they mostly came from your prolific imagination. It has been wonderful (and sometimes scary) knowing you and we miss you greatly. Shirley & Floyd

My Dad--what can I say? You were the best dad in the world. At the time, I thought all dads were like you. Now I understand how special you are and how lucky I was. I will always remember you and thank God I was chosen to be your daughter. I'm sure you are entertaining the angels with your limericks right now! Love you, always.
