Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 12, 2025.
In Loving Memory of Nathan "Big Daddy" Sanborn Sr.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Nathan "Big Daddy" Sanborn Sr., who left this world on February 19, 2025, at the age of 55. He was a devoted son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Nathan was a talented painter who took great pride in his craft. Beyond his work, he found joy in fishing and cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. Whether sharing laughter, casting a line, or simply enjoying the company of family and friends, he made a lasting impact on those around him.

Nathan leaves behind his beloved children: Natasha Cayer and her husband Michael, Nathan Sanborn Jr. and his partner Jessica, Nicole Sanborn, Dylan Sanborn, and Nevaeh Sanborn. He was also blessed with five cherished grandchildren.

He is survived by his father, Thomas Sanborn, and his siblings: Rachel Dolan, Naomi Morin, Jeannie Houle, and Andrew Sanborn. He will also be fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews.

Nathan was predeceased by his beloved mother, Janet, as well as his siblings Daniel Sanborn and Bethany Sanborn-Mansfield.

A celebration of life will be planned at a later date to honor Nathan's memory, allowing those who loved him to gather, share stories, and remember the moments that made him special.

May he rest in peace, forever watching over his family with love.

Happy Heavenly Birthday, Nathan

Today you would´ve turned 56.
It´s hard to believe you´re not here to celebrate, because if there´s one thing you truly loved-it was a good birthday party.

You knew how to make it fun.
The music, the laughter, the cake-every year, you made sure birthdays were something to look forward to.
We created so many beautiful memories around those celebrations... and they still bring a smile through the tears.

Even though you´re no longer here, your spirit lives on in the stories we share, the laughs we remember, and the love you left behind.

Happy birthday, Nathan.
We still celebrate you.
Always will.

Nate´s laughter and jokes will live on in my heart forever. He was one of a kind with brutal honesty. He would give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it with no questions asked. When I became his neighbor, he took me under his wing and showed me who to trust and who not to trust and he was 100% spot on. Fly high Nate. Till we meet again .

Nate was great friend. Nate was my best friend. A solid guy who would give you the shirt off his back. If you needed anything, Nate was always there. Yeah he was a little rough around the edges at times and loud but what defined him was his brutal honesty and the soft spot he had for those in need. He will be missed immensely. Rest In Paradise brother.

"A Father´s Love Lives On"

You were always a good dad. Always so much fun with the kids. So many wonderful memories.

I can still hear their laughter echoing through the years. The little moments-holding their hands, wiping their tears, cheering them on-those are the ones that stay.

I hope you're resting in peace and always watching over them, keeping our children safe.

I have some very fond memories of Big Nate. He was always a dad away from home for me spending a ton of time with him and little Nate. May he rest in paradise

I am deeply saddened by Nathan´s passing and will always hold close the memories we shared. He was a wonderful father who loved his family deeply. His passion for fishing, snowmobiling, and taking vacations reflected his love for adventure, but more than anything, he cherished time with his loved ones. Nathan had a generous heart-he would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. Together, we raised two amazing children, and I will forever be grateful for that. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and all who loved him. May he rest in peace
