Nathan Melvin "Mel" Wimple

Extremely saddened to see Mel's obituary well after his passing. Many kind words can be said about Mel, I had the good fortune of working with him many years back at Johnson Controls. He was dedicated to his job, his customers and employees. A real pleasure to be around daily, Mel made days of hard work enjoyable. Prayers for Mel and his family, he was a good man with a good heart and can tell you he was greatly appreciated.

Learned of Mr. Whimple's passing today.....extremely kind and thoughtful man. Great outlook on life, and made my day better when he was in to visit. The last time he was in he told me he might go skydiving:-) Wish the best to his friends and family. Ryan (His hearing aid guy!)

I am so sorry for your loss. Mel was a very special person. A great father and grandfather. God bless the family at this difficult time.

It's been stated that "good fences make good neighbors" but that's not absolutely true. But Kindness, friendliness,forgiveness and generosity, are a few traits that make a good neighbor. These are the traits describe Mr Mel. Now he has received his eternal reward for a life of faithfulness.

Mel was a great person and neighbor at Calabash. We always looked forward to seeing he and Sandra, playing cards, talking and eating out. We have really missed both of you since you sold your house there. Many good memories for the last 18 years. God bless

Sandra and family, we are shocked and saddened to read of Mel's death. We always enjoyed dancing with you and him. I'm sorry that the "get-together" that we discussed at a funeral never happened. You are certainly in our thoughts and prayers.
