Dear Schilling Family,
Our thoughts and prayers reach across the miles to your family upon the passing of your cherished son. We too recently lost our 26 year old son Eric to a flu virus that settled in his heart, acute periocarditis, in April of this year. As grieving parents, I will say that God has helped us to know that our children are blessed to him and receive his light and comfort. Allow family and friends to comfort you and share those wonderful moments of togetherness. This has helped us as we walk life's journey. Peace be with you all!

While I have never met your son or family, I was deeply saddened by the news of your loss. I too have a six year old son. It is clear from the pictures that your son was a bright light in the world. My prayers are with you and all your loved ones. The angel choir has one more wonderful voice.
My heartfelt sympathy -

My heart just breaks for you and your family. As a mother of two young children I can't imagine your grief at this moment. But I can say that I KNOW you have so many people praying for you and your famiy to find peace and understanding. The Lord will comfort you and will heal your pain day by day. Stay strong, I am sure Nathan would want you to continue to smile. With deepest sympathy,

DJ and your whole family,
I was just shocked when we got the word about the loss of your son, Nathanael. No words I can write will take the sorrow from you heart, but please know the Lord will comfort you and your memories will keep you. I know what it is like to lose a son, as ours left us five years ago, October 29th. Please know that it does get better, and you will laugh and smile again. If you need anything please don't hesitate to ask.
In my prayers,
John Wazlawik

To the family of Nathan Schilling:
I work with DJ, and just learned today of the passing of your son and brother, Nathan. As many have written already, words just seem inadequate. However, I hope that it helps to know that so many people are thinking of you, and praying for your healing and peace in this very difficult time. My sincere condolences and best wishes to all of you.
May God's peace be with you.

Dear Family we just want to let you know you are in our prayers! We exactly know what you are going through because in May 2008 our 6 year old son Efrain ( first grader too with a huge passion for Jesus like your baby )died suddenly like Nathan, he was a healthy boy like yours and after a simple accident with a thumb tag at the door of our church building; he was taken to the hospital but he went with Jesus two days later. Please receive our condolences and know again our prayers are with you and your family. The only comfort right now is to know one day we will be reunited with them again.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult. I was so sad to hear about your loss. Nathan was such an upbeat child that loved life, his family, and especially his heavenly Father. I was Nathan's Sunday school teacher for 2 years. Nathan was truly blessed to have parents that taught him about Jesus. He always knew the Bible stories we were teaching in class. There is no doubt that Nathan is in Heaven now with his Savior.
May God bless you and your family and comfort you all in this of grief.

My prayers are with you now when you need them most. Nathan is such a beautiful little boy, it makes me angry that we are losing children to this horrible virus. I know there is nothing anyone can say to ease your pain, but know that you are in many peoples prayers.

I am praying for your family. The photo on this site it adorable. He looks like such a fun, cute boy, and as a Father my heart breaks for your loss. My prayer and hope is that you will take it to heart that there are people whom you have never met that feel the love you have for your son. If we can feel it, then you know Nathan still feels it too as he watches and waits for you in heaven! God Bless you and your family, God Bless Nathan!

My prayers are with Nathan's family. We know all too well how devastating it is to lose a child suddenly and unexpectedly. Our first son died from SIDS and another son died unexpectedly from a blood clot when he was two. While nothing I say can ease the pain, please know that someday you will be able to remember Nathan with just pure love and joy and not the overwhelming sadness and emptiness now present. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Nikki & family,
I know we haven't spoken in many years, but we grew up together in faith at St. John's.
May the faith lessons, education and love we learned there help you get through this difficult time in losing your Nathan. I too have a Nathan, and I can only imagine the pain your feeling, but please know that even though we have not kept in touch physically, spiritually we are still that St. John's family we were back then and I am praying for you and I am here for you.
May you always remember that Nathan earned his angel wings last week and is in a place we can only imagine.
I am so sorry Nikki. Take Care and my prayers are with you.

Nichole and DJ, I could never begin to tell you how sorry I am. It's seems so unfair that Nathan was on "short-term" loan to you from our Lord and Creator. I know there is not a one of us that has the answers to why, but my love and sympathy are in neverending supply. I only hope that you can enjoy many years of love and happiness with those you have around you on earth, until that wonderful day when you are all together again. Imagine that day... you'll both be so excited to tell eachother everything that has happened since that sad day. I know the waiting and the longing will be so hard to endure. I'm sorry for that too. All my love and prayers are with you all.

To the Schilling family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of sorrow in your lives. I knew Nathan when he was just a little boy and I remember what joy he brought to everyone that knew him, even me. Take comfort that Nathan is now with God in heaven, smiling just like he did when he was with us here on Earth and is watching over you all now.
You are all in my prayers....

We know that in all things God is glorified, but it is not so easy to understand on this side of Heaven. May the memories and treasures of your short time that God shared Nathan with you be a gift for always. Know that we and our family is praying that God will bring peace and healing to you all in the days and weeks to come. "Be still and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10
