Isaac Baidoo

October 26, 2024

My name is Isaac Baidoo. Nate was my freshman-year roommate at MIT, and we were both members of the Class of '87. My brother Nate was kind, thoughtful, and generous. I would rib him occasionally and call him Garlands while working on intractable problem sets. He remained a close friend and confidante, and I miss him. Rest in peace, Garlands.

Michael Mooney

My name is Mike Mooney, and I have been a vendor for MIT. I buy back and dispose of retired IT equipment and had known and worked with Nate for over 11 years, and had completed multiple transactions with him. He was such a pleasure to work with. Even when he had no business for me, he was such a gentleman explaining it to me and encouraged me to keep in touch. After hearing the news of Nate's passing, I went back to the last email Nate sent to me on this past May 9th, and he said, " I have enjoyed working with you in the past as you have made these operations smooth and easy, especially in W91 Audrey Street in Cambridge where we have to coordinate with the Campus Police". The reason for his last reference to the Campus Police, as that they had already started to move into W91 in 2022, and we had to work around the construction people. I will genuinely miss Nate, and he will be in my prayers.

I worked with Nate at Loan for over 20 years. I was heartbroken to hear of his passing. He was such a sweet, kind, gentle man. He was so quiet, but he still managed to make a big impression with everyone he met. I miss him terribly. Thank you Alice and family for taking care of him in his illness.
