Nathaniel Bruce Obituary
Nathaniel "Nay" Bruce, Jr., 69, a retired General Services Specialist with the State of Florida, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016. Funeral Services will be 11:00am, Monday, October 24, 2016 at the Strong and Jones Funeral Home Chapel, 551 W Carolina St, Tallahassee, FL 32301. Burial will be at the Tallahassee National Cemetery. He was a proud graduate of Florida A&M University, a veteran of the United States Army and a former member of the Tallahassee Corvette Club.
Survivors include his wife, Martha J. Bruce; sons, Nathaniel Bruce III, Oakland, CA, Sheldon Bruce (Sonica); sister, Nancy Bruce Lattimore; grandchildren, Cameryn A. Bruce, Sheldon C. Bruce and Kennedy A. Davis; all of Tallahassee, FL.
He was predeceased by his step son, Shawn O. Davis.

Martha and family, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I worked with Nay at Highway Safety back in the 80's & 90's when he worked in Supply. He was a great person and co-worker. I remember when you used to call and his eyes lit up with happiness. I ran into him again while working at DFS and I will always remember him because he loved his nice rides. We would pick at him about driving different ones to match his clothes. Nay had a great sense of humor and he will be missed by many who knew and loved him. May the Lord lead you and comfort you in the days to come. God Bless you all!
