GLOSSER
NATHANIEL MORRIS
Age 51, of Southern Florida, passed away on December 31, 2016, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He also lived in Johnstown and Pittsburgh. He was born March 2, 1965, in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Daniel and Marcia Glosser. Nathaniel was a tireless advocate for economic and social justice among other progressive causes. He was an early member of Occupy Pittsburgh, a passionate volunteer for the Senator Bernie Sanders campaign for President, and a stalwart peace activist associated with the Thomas Merton Center for Peace and Justice. At the same time that he helped improve police accountability working with People Against Police Violence, he fought to prevent gun violence as an organizer with the Goods for Guns Program in Allegheny County, the Million Mom March, and by serving as the Director of the Rosenberg Institute for Peace and Justice and Pennsylvanians Against Handgun Violence. Nathaniel recently acquired a houseboat and planned to set sail for international waters at noon on January 20, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Three Rivers Community Foundation (www.trcfwpa.org) or The Thomas Merton Center for Peace and Justice (thomasmertoncenter.org). At the request of the family, there will be no visitation and funeral service will be private. Arrangements by PICKING - TREECE - BENNETT MORTUARY, INC., Johnstown (PTBMortuary.com).

Nathaniel's was one of if not the most kind and generous souls I have ever encountered. He will no doubt be dearly missed by many who had the pleasure of knowing him during his too short lifespan. Myself being one of those people.
