Neal A Day

Neal A Day Brookfield - Neal A. Day, 73, of Brookfield, MA passed away in his home December 12, 2022. He leaves his beloved wife Phyllis Day, his daughter Jennifer Day and her fiance Frank Gallagher of Glenville NY, and his son Neal Day of Georgia; two granddaughters Lila Day and Hailey Suits of Glenville NY; a sister Ellen Gaboury and her partner Stuart Barden of Auburn MA; two brothers Kevin Day and his wife Laurel of Easthampton MA and Alan Day and his wife Carol of Chattanooga TN; and several nieces and nephews.

Neal was born in Worcester and grew up in Auburn. He graduated from Auburn High School and WITI, specializing in computer science. Neal served in the US Army (SP4) as a photographer during the Vietnam War from July 1970 to January 1972. He worked as a programmer and in the IT department filling many roles at St. Vincent's, Fallon, and as a contractor through Keene, retiring in 2014. He was President of the local tenant's association from 2019 to 2022 when his health prevented him from continuing.

Neal was an avid golfer, enjoyed bowling, watching sports, woodworking, going to the casino, and antiquing.

A celebration of life will be held at the Brookfield Congregational Church, 8 Common Street, Brookfield, MA on Monday January 9th from 2:30 - 3:00PM, with a luncheon in the downstairs hall immediately following the service.
