Thanks to all who have sent kind remarks concerning Dad's recent passing. When you lose a parent, especially the 2nd one, Father Time slamming the door, vibrates from your eyebrows to the sole of your feet. Time is truly the most important commodity.
Dad always had a sense of humor, loved his life on his farm in Hayden, enjoyed gospel singing, and always wrestled me for the check at Top Hat BBQ. I remember very fondly, being at his elbow during his sportswriting days in Savannah and Birmingham reporting on Koufax nohitters, Bear victories, Mantle and Maris and Ali knocking out Liston. Thanks for the memories and love Dad and rest in peace.

To the Ellis Family: My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.
