Neal was the son of Clara Miller (née Herb) and Harold Miller.
Neal was predeceased by his wife, Sylvia Lorraine 'Peachie' Miller.
Neal was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marines Corps, serving in Korea and Japan.
Neal worked for numerous companies until illness forced his premature retirement in 1990s.
Active in various trade unions, Neal performed arbit-ration, mediation and negotiation for numerous workmen and companies.
Neal supervised and worked on diverse projects; taking pride in building machines and factories of all sorts, providing jobs for folks around the country and in Puerto Rico.
In addition to his family, Neal loved motorcycles, music, and watching racing. He enjoyed baseball, horseshoes and quoits, and bowling. He also relished poker, spirited political and philosophical debates, documentaries of every sort, and was a fine sketcher. Among his many other interests were travel, bird watching, and especially a good party.
Neal is survived by one son, Neal David Miller, husband of Kathleen Sidor, Robesonia; one daughter, Lorraine Renee Miller, Reading; one granddaughter, Brianna Lorraine Miller-Brandel, Reading; and one great-granddaughter, Lilianna Maraé Cardona Leinbach; his foster brother, John "Sonny" Sweetwood; his sister, Rosalie "Sis" Frampton (née Miller); and his brother, Harold "Skip" Miller.
Funeral services are private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, Neal expressed a preference for
donations to the Hope Rescue Mission, 645 N. 6th Street, Reading, PA 19601.

I will always remember Uncle Neal for watching WKRP in Cincinnati with a beer cracked open laughing his head off while relaxing on his recliner. It seemed like that show was always on when we would visit. Really a great guy. I'm sure that's what he is probably doing now as well :) Thank care.

Sorry to hear of your Dad's passing and your Mom a few months back. I worked with you and your Mom at Kiwi back in the late 80's. I'm sure you are missing them both at this time. Take care and please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
