Nedra YURKOWSKI Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of a wife, mother, grandmother and daughter. Nedra Lynn passed away after a 2 year battle with cancer on May 25, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Estevan, SK. with her husband at her side. She was predeceased by father-in-law; John, mother-in-law; Sharon, grandfathers Smith and Chase, Uncle Phil and cousins Kevin and Steven Chase. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Joe, son: Michael (Jodi) Yurkowski, grandchildren: Logan and Daeken of North Portal, parents: Gary and Lois Chase of Cymric, sister: Patricia (Mike) King of Duncan B.C. Dylan, Christina, Isaac, Michelle, sister-in-law: Debra (Sandro) Bartolini of Geneva, Switzerland, and brother-in-law Todd Yurkowski of Hallbrite, grandmothers Smith and Chase and numerous extended family members. Nedra Lynn was born 1962 at Roblin, Manitoba, to Gary and Lois Chase. There along with her sister she grew up on the family farm and attended school at Roblin. In 1977 the family moved to Arlington Beach, SK., where she attended the Govan school. While there she met the love of her life and in 1980 she married Joe after which they moved to Estevan where she was employed by The Saan Store. Later they moved to North Portal where she started as a maintenance person blowing snow and worked her way to Customs Inspector. There she along with Joe raised their son, Michael. Nedra Lynn enjoyed gardening and giving the extra produce away. She also enjoyed doing crafts, making jewelry, scrapbooking, greeting cards, petit point, camping, spending time with the grandchildren and extended family. At Nedra Lynns' request there will be no Service. In memory of Nedra Lynn please feel free to make a donation to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre, 4101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina, SK. S4T 7T1.

I had the opportunity to work with Nedra for two summers when I first began my career. As a new employee, unsure of my surroundings, Nedra always went out of her way to teach and encourage me. Because of her positive attitude, enthusiastic help and kind words I will always remember her.

Joe, Michael,Jodi,Logan and Daeken - Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.
Nedra meant a lot to us. I helped look after her when she was a young girl back on the farm in Manitoba. And it almost seemed like I was more like her older sister rather than her aunt. Later on, it was always great to see her at the Chase Reunions to share many laughs and tears as well. She was always very gentle and soft-hearted.
She will be remembered in our hearts and memories.
Until we meet again - Nedra.

I worked for Canada Customs in Regina. I met and talked with Nedra many times. We clicked immediately. She was such a happy and helpful person. I was so sad to hear of her passing. My condolences go out to Joe, her son and the rest of the family.
