Neil Griffiths 1932 ~ 2011 Neil Griffiths passed away in his home on April 26, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born March 9, 1932 in Malad, Idaho to Hugh and Isobel Griffiths. He married Peggy Vaughn on June 20, 1960 and later sealed in the Logan Temple. Neil was raised on a ranch in Malad where he loved to ride his horse like the wind and work with his dog, Sport. He graduated from Malad High School and later went on to Idaho State University. Neil served an LDS Mission to the Eastern States where he met David O. McKay in person. Neil was always a handyman who could fix anything and seldom went anywhere without his toolbox. He was a member of the Salt Lake Gun Club and champion clay target shooter. He was very athletic, keeping in shape by playing racquetball. Neil sang with a Welsh voice and performed in a number of choir groups. Neil spent his career working for Grand Central as a buyer for over 25 years. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family especially his wife Peggy, who he had the opportunity to spend seven years traveling the country in a motorhome. They later sold their motorhome and purchased a home in Puerticots, Mexico on the Baha. Neil was a well loved and cherished man; we will carry him in our hearts forever. Neil is survived by his loving wife, Peggy, daughters, Valerie Davis (Kimm), Jacqueline Peterson, Terrie Farley (Kit), sons, Neil Ray Griffiths (Teri), Russell Hugh Griffiths (Heather), 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, sister, Norma Wehril (Rudy), and his two beloved dogs, Woody and Tigre. Dear Aunt Peggy;
Sorry I was unable to be there today. I have many fond memories of Uncle Neil and you over many years. I still remember you wedding in Aunt Norma's back yard. I am grateful for all the memories of the fun times we had together at dinners, at the ranch, and reunions. I'm glad I was able to visit with you and Neil at the reunion last summer. You have done such a great job of being a special wife for him. Our hearts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. Love, Jeff and Mary Ann (Griffiths) Liljenquist

Dear Peggy: I am writing because my health is such that I will not be able to attend Neil's funeral. I have many many fond memories of you and Neil. The times spent at the ranch with you have a special place in my heart and the hearts of my children. I know that you have spent many years taking care of Neil with tender love and gentle kindness. I know that that time took a lot of your own strength. Jenni and I will remember you in our prayers and we express our love to you. We know that the time will come when you will be with your beloved Neil again. God bless you and again we apologize that we can't be there to express our condolences in person.
Love, Rex and Jenni Griffiths
