Neil, beloved husband of Barbara Lois Murray (nee Tosh) of Calgary, AB passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the age of 90 years. Neil retired from Imperial Oil after 35 years of service, starting in the Drafting Department and moving to increasing responsibilities in the Administrative Services Department. He was active in youth development with leadership roles with Scouts Canada and the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps. He provided extensive volunteer work for the Naval Museum of Alberta and served as a member of the Board of Directors. After retiring, he and Barbara traveled in Europe, Asia and Australia and spent many winters in Hawaii. He also enjoyed with enthusiasm his many friends and colleagues in the Royal Canadian Navel Association. Neil will be remembered by all who knew him as a gentle and kind man who was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need of it. Neil is survived by his loving wife Barbara Murray, sons Glenn Murray (Karen) and Darrell Murray, sister-in- law Beverley Buchanan and several nieces and nephews He was predeceased by his parents Michael and Dora Murasky, his sister Frances "Fran" Smith (nee Murasky) and brother-in-law Gordon "Gordie" Smith. Graveside Service will be at Queens Park Cemetery (Columbarium, Section G area) on September 2, 2017 at 1 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
