I worked at First-Centenary in the 60's and was privileged to know this remarkable lady. But I did not know of her service and activities before coming to Athens, Tennessee and later First-Centenary. I was happy to learn about those activities. She was a remarkable and lovely lady.
Blessings on the family.

I had the privilege of hearing Nell speak at Lakeside, Ohio, as the Chaplain of the Week and later as a seminar leader. She made everybody feel like she knew us all of her life! Her enthusiasm and energy were felt by all in attendance. She was a great lady and will be missed.

I met Nell when she & Ralph first came to Centenary. Many wonderful memories are with me of projects and activities we shared through the years. I value these memories and am truly thankful for having shared a part of Nell's life. What a very special friend she was.

I am thankful Dr. Nell Webb Mohney was a Good and Faithful Servant who used her gifts and blessings from God so wonderfully. In ways, she was like a snowflake unique in beauty and bringing joy with her presence. She was also a sower who sowed seeds of inspiration that encouraged others to reach higher levels of perseverance and faith. She was like the sun, too, bringing warmth and energy for the growth of those seeds spiritually and emotionally. Nell was a role model of honor, radiance, vivacity, gracious grace, presence, polish, thoughtfulness, resourcefulness, and nurturing for the sake of others' hearts and lives. The epitome of beauty inside and out, she was a gentle guide when, with a brief look or redirection of conversation, she could quietly bring correction as no one else could. She motivated many to want to live fully God's individual plan and vision for them. She will be deeply, profoundly, immeasurably missed. Praying prayers of comfort for Dr. Nell Webb Mohney's family and others.

Nell started the singles' ministry at 1st Centenary. It was this ministry that reached out to me and got me back in the church. Her initiative has so blessed me.

Many of Mrs. Mohney's columns line my journals and Bibles, bringing fresh inspiration, whenever I re-visit one, through the years. She wrote with such warmth and "blessed assurance" that one can not fail to take comfort in the beautiful relationship she shared with God. That she was kind enough to share it with her readers, so that we, too, might have hope of such relationship, was a priceless gift to each of us. Boy, did she ever let her "little light shine"; and how grateful we are that she did!

Nell was an inspirational speaker and author. She had a real heart for Singles as she founded PCS about 50 years ago. She always had time for us and greeted everyone with a smile and kind word. She had now passed the baton to us to keep Positive Christian Singles alive and growing. She had a passion for singles and the various unique needs that we possess. She had touched many lives with love and compassion. Nell made you feel special and that you were the most important person with much worth and value. She was one of a kind. There will never be another to take her place. She will be greatly missed and loved. Rest in peace Nell.

Nell is one of the loveliest ladies I have ever known. When Ralph was pastor of Manker Memorial I was a little girl and lived across the street and down the block from him. (I was a member of King Memorial). He brought Nell to that house, and when Dickie was born I would go over to play with him. I'll never forget those two wonderful people.
