Candy, Lucy and family,
There are areas of landscape, events, and people of Anacortes, Washington which are truly beautiful — your Mother was a person of beauty.
I've known your Mom and your family all my life, having lived there on 17th street, three houses away. And what wonderful memories I have. Steve was my best friend, your home was always such a warm place to visit and play at, and your Mom was always so welcoming, friendly and loving. That warmth of relationship lasted as long as I knew Daisy, through High School as a counselor, and well beyond.
I was saddened to read of your Mom's passing — what a beautiful woman, inside and out!
I only wish I could be there in Anacortes to support you both and the family at the memorial service today. Please know how much I care, and am praying for you all. The Giles family is with you in heart.
Anacortes has been enriched, found warmth, and shone extraordinary beauty for your Mother's having lived there and loved there.
Personally, I have been wonderfully touched by you and by your family — Thank You so very, very much.
In the Love of Christ,
Dave Giles

Neola Lower Nixon was always Granny Goodwitch to my children; they loved it when she came to visit because she gave them undivided attention. As I look back over our long friendship I now realize that is exactly why she was loved by so many. Her gift of laughter, luscious perfume, dangling jewelry and home made bread livened our house so many times but never enough! I too heard Neola sing Scarlett Ribbons just last Spring. It is a gift I will cherish always. My best to Bob, Candy, Lucy, Shirlene and Family Fondly, Louise Halm

Robert, Candace, Lucy and family,
I wish to extend my condolences to all of you on the loss of your mother. She was one of my favorite people during my high school tenure at Anacortes High School ('59-63) because she was my counselor and would listen! Her advice was always right on and I picked the Dental Hygiene profession because of her guidance.
She will never be far from your thoughts and her memory will comfort you as time goes on. May God bless you and your family.

To Robert, Candace, Lucy and family,
Neola was a very special teacher and counselor in my high school career '59-62 at AHS. Mrs. Lower was one of those educators who made a big difference in my education. Speech class gave me the confidence to stand in front of a group and talk without being terrified and the support she provided as I was in the process of choosing the right school for nurses training,.
A beautiul smile always welcomed you into her counseling office.
May your fond memories be a comfort to you during this time of loss. She will always be that bright star in the sky that was there for me and so many others in school.

Neola (Daisy) was an inspiration for all of us. Her love of music and knowledge of songs was amazing. My special moment was witnessing her singing "Scarlett Ribbons" with her daughter Candace one evening. Even though my voice is not as sweet and my memory for the songs not as strong I will try to continue the singing for my sweet Daisy for the residents at Fidalgo Care. Bob, your devotion and patience was wonderful, she's lucky to have found you twice. Don't be a stranger, we love you Bob!
With Love,
Nurse Jill
