Chia buon cung Vinh Hanh và gia dinh

April 29, 2014

He is my cousin uncle, and he was my dad's kind boss. Seldom to see him but the feeling about his character is great. He was the one who told my father about me : " Khanh is débrouillé" (he used French word). That makes me know how clear his vision was. We miss him. On behalf of Phan Ngoc Chau's family, we share the sadness of the Phan's loss. Khanh Phan.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our uncle. He departs from this earth but never truly leaves, he is still alive in our hearts and minds. He will be missed and will never be forgotten.

Grandpa, Thank you for being such an inspiration and leaving behind an incredible legacy.

In so many cards or letters to us, grandpa often signed off by reminding us of the Phan legacy, the noble lineage, the importance of leading a life worthy of the Phan name, and the hope of carrying on the ancestors' name forever.

Vinny and I are honored to have had you as our grandfather.

We love you and will miss you very much. You will live on in our hearts and our minds. You will always be with us in your poetry, stories, and letters.
--Your oldest grand-daughter, Phan Vinh Phuong-Trang
