Kashimoto was the most gentle and intelligent person I have ever met. His thoughtfulness and kindness were evident during each of our conversations. I had the great fortune to meet him and then meet with him every Saturday for the past five years, as he helped me develop my french language skills and as he helped me see the world through his eyes. I cannot believe that we will no longer share a tea/coffee at Tim Horton's. His presence in the world and in my life will be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to his family. Kashimoto, tu me manques.

Adieu Saint Kashimoto!

Dear Family Kashimoto
My sincerest sympathies on the passing of Kashimoto. As one of his many French students, he made the class stimulating with his teaching me on his academic writings on Kant and made me look forward to French class. We would greet each other with "Saint Kashimoto" "Saint Peter" accordingly before each class and share our thoughts on important subjects like the Toronto Maple Leafs and Coach's Corner. Why he willingly chose the Leafs to cheer for, I do not know. An intellegent, humble and great soul, I think I speak for many when I say he was a friend to many and an inspiration to many, many more. He will be missed.
With deepest respect,
Peter Sharp
