Nicholas Arata Obituary
Nicholas Stephen Arata, 75 passed away in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 24, 2011. He was born April 13, 1936 in Huntington, New York. He had lived in Oyster Bay, then East Northport, New York from 1963 to 1992. He and his wife moved to Las Vegas, Nevada on September 11, 1992. Nicholas was a retired Owner/Operator of a Ceramic & Tile Company, and had served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Marie in Las Vegas, sons, Nicholas, Jr. in Shoreham, New York, Michael in Midwest City, Oklahoma and Stephen in Las Vegas, as well as six grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 28 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Palm Cheyenne Mortuary in Las Vegas, and on Wednesday, July 6 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Devine Francis Funeral Home in Oyster Bay, New York. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 7 at 9:30am at St. Dominic's Catholic Church in Oyster Bay, New York. Interment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Huntington, New York. Arrangements under the direction of Palm Cheyenne Mortuary, Las Vegas, Nevada.
