Nick and I worked together at the American Language Academy at Catholic University in the 1970s. He was a good friend, a good teacher, and a fine colleague. I am so sorry for your loss.

Nick (we knew him as "Gaines") was my friend and classmate at Murrah High and then at Ole Miss. He was one of the most intelligent, witty and saintly men I've ever known. I have a hundred fond memories of him. A sweet soul has left this Earth. He will be missed.
