I had heard Nick had passed and was so sorry to hear it. Both of my daughters had the opportunity to volunteer at Horse Feathers under Nick's guidance. He was always so appreciative and patient and for a 10 and 9 year old, this was huge. They stayed with him for a few years before their lives became busy elsewhere, but he definitely left a lasting impression on all our hearts. The hawks near Horse Feathers were huge too...one of them tried to take off with Nick's cat. He caught the cat just in time and they had a tug away with Nick pulling on the cat's hind legs, the hawk pulling the cat's upper body. Thankfully, Nick won that round and the cat lived to see many more years. Thank you for everything Nick!

I was very sad to hear about Nick's passing in 2018 on Tuesday Sundays Doing Hyppotherapy with nick were some of the best memories of my childhood/ And he was such a sincere, sweet man that when he said, "I'd run the world one day A part of me believed I could. So I thank him for the faith in me as well. I just graduated from college. if I do indeed do something amazing in this world, like he always said I would He will have played a part in it

Shocked and saddened to learn so late of Nick's passing in 2018. "Walk On". Many fond memories of Sunday morning walks with Kelly, Nick, a gentle, giant horse and myself. Nick was an amazing person. I am glad that our paths crossed.

Nick was my friend and I am so sorry to hear at this late date (October 2nd) that he has passed. Nick worked for me at Hyre Electric Company in Chicago and he was always a great member of our team. Nick and I are both Eagle Scouts and shared that connection until I retired in 2010. He make me laugh and was an incredible electrician and a tribute to IBEW Local #134. He was a great man and once you were his friend, you were his friend for life. So long old buddy, GOD SPEED!!!

I simply can't think about my childhood without Troop 3, and I simply can't think about Troop 3 without thinking of Nick. Watching how Nick conducting himself gave me a lot to learn from, and he made me a better person.

Nick was like the Fonz from Happy Days to all of us in Scouts. I shared many happy days with Nick. My thoughts are with you all.

The world is a better place because of Nick Coyne. He was an incredible man whose passion for helping people, horses, and overall positivity made Horsefeathers into more than a destination. Nick made Horsefeathers a community that was welcoming, warm and where one could be themself without fear of judgment. I will always consider Nick my Knight who (along with Bud my white horse) rescued me when I couldn't rescue myself.
May He Rest in Peace and May his Memory be a Blessing to all who knew him.

Nick inspired my two grandaughters to trust in themselves and ride with pride. My older grandaughter was able to attend the Boy Scout camp in New Mexico because Nick followed through on his belief in her. My younger grandaughter was able to ride knowing she was great! To inspire others is a great gift. Nick's personality shown through even to those who knew him only briefly. In gratitude for a life well lived.

Nick you will be sorely missed by our special needs community. Your love and devoted commitment was a sight to be seen. I am honored to have known you and our daughter enjoyed her time at Horsefeathers. As they say in the horse community ride on my friend we know your spirit lives in all our hearts.

Nick was an important part of my childhood and there's no way I can offer sufficient condolences -- but I will think about him.
