DETTORE NICHOLAS P.

On Friday, August 24, 2018 in Southern Shores, NC formerly of Braddock and Rankin. He was born in Rankin on December 4, 1928. Son of the late Geremino "Jerry" and Rose (Orsini) Dettore; beloved husband of Leona (Stanczak) Dettore; loving father of Jerry Dettore and his wife Marlene, Susan Mason and her husband Ron, and the late Gregory; dear grandfather of Alison Dettore O'Brien and Christopher Dettore; great-grandfather of Anna and Emily; brother of Yolanda Giordano and the late Anthony, Albert, Ernie and Angeline Zezza; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Because of his natural musical talents, Nicholas was asked to play drums in the Rankin High School band while he was still in Junior High. His love of music and his musical talents led him to join with three friends to form a quartet called the Cavaliers. Nicholas was the Quartet drummer and the group played at many Tri-State establishments from the late 40's until the mid 60's. Nicholas was employed by the Continental Can Company in West Mifflin. In 1970, he transferred to the Continental Operation in Weirton, WV where he lived until 2014, when he relocated to the Outer Banks, NC.
