I am very sad to hear of Nick's passing. I worked for Nick back when he first took over the bar, and again a few years later. I saw Nick just about two years ago, and was surprised at how little he had changed. Still cheerful and as alway, tan. I know everyone will miss him. He was a character.

Uncle Nick was the greatest. I had the opportunity to visit Washington D.C. with a friend in 1986. Uncle Nick picked us up at the airport and saw us to our hotel in his cadillac. It was wonderful. When I had money problems that week he cashed my check for a 100$ out of his wallet. Having a Dad who dealt in small change my eyes were probably huge when he offered to help me out. He made sure we got to his restaurant that week for a great dinner with Aunt Marty where we discussed who the better President was, Jefferson or Washington. He also took me to Mt.Vernon that week which was very memorable. He bought two boxwoods for me to smuggle back to Washington state for my Dad. This summers trip he made possible was a true dream come true. He has given me something priceless, a connection to family members I may not have ever had a chance to get to know. From him all Dugovich's can continue to keep the family within reach. He left us a reminder to what is truly important in life. Thanks and God Bless my Uncle Nick.

I am deeply sorry to have learned of the passing of Nick.

Many folks including myself owe a great deal to Nick. When I first moved to Washington, DC I was looking for a part time job to help suplement my income.

Nick took a chance on me and hired me as a waiter. I waited tables at Nicks from 1989-1991.

Nick and I had many good laughs and the money I made working for him allowed me to follow my dreams in politics. If it had not been for Nick I may have gone home!!!

I am a patron of Nicks now and Nick always greated me with a smile and a "Hello Matt".

He was a good man with a giving heart. I will miss him!

God bless.

Uncle Nick will always have a special place in our family's heart. Our son, Nick C. Dugovich, will be a constant reminder of him. This summer's reunion was only possible because of Nick's foresight and generosity. I'm certain my father, Bill Dugovich, welcomed and thanked Nick for bringing the family together when he arrived in heaven.

Nick was a kind and generous person. I remember he was always going somewhere or coming back from somewhere almost every time I saw him. He thought it was too bad everyone else had to work and couldn't go on vacation with him. His cheerful nature will be missed.
