Nicholas Genematas

Nicholas George Genematas passed away on April 19, 2025 at the age 70. Nick is survived by his best friend and love of his life of 47 years, Cynthia, his sister Gene Marie; daughters, Melissa Saladino (Michael) and Elizabeth Clayborn (Michael); three granddaughters, Olivia Margaret, Sydney James, and Arianna Marie, and most importantly his furry couch potato, Lily.

Nick was born July 26, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan to George and Patricia. He was the older brother to Genie, James, and Robert, and cousin to Bob and Chris Burroughs. After graduating from Salpointe Catholic High School in 1972, he attended the "University of Magma" in San Manuel, and eventually joined his father and sister in proudly operating, Casa Blanca Plaza.

Nick enjoyed imparting his music trivia mainly focusing on the "The greatest Rock n Roll Band, The Rolling Stones" on his daughters and niece Danielle Burroughs. He adored his son in laws, their many adventures, laughs and getting into trouble everywhere they went. Nick loved quietly helping the community under the name "St. Anonymous". He made a large impact in Tucson and surrounding areas through the beloved "Nun Runs", trips to orphanages in Mexico, Those Who Care, WeeCare Animal Shelter, to name a few as well as many years of service with The Saguaro Rotary. Anyone that crossed his path, instantly became a lifelong friend and any stray animal he found, no longer was without a family. Nick always made sure his home was a safe place that friends and family would always be welcome to, no questions asked. We love him dearly and he will be deeply missed. We love you Daddy/ Numpies/ PeeHee/ Baldy/ Mr. G/ Sir/ Mr. Lion forever our "bread and butter". You are and will always be the world to us.
