Nick!
I feel your guidance and your love all the time! When the sun shines, when a great song comes on or someone dedicates one to you out of the blue, when I'm ready to hit the slopes, and when a big snow falls I remember being in the accord with you, when I look at a favorite picture of a favorite time together, when my kids do something hilarious for some reason I feel your laughter with me! Eli is such a stud muffin so thoughtful with your clever looks and stylish ways:) I love him like you.
I could go on and on but your with me and us all so you already know. Ill bet you are doing even greater things and that your ascension is a mighty ride. Love you 50xo

Peace to you Mary Jo.

Love, Jenelle

I interacted with Nick at St Jude Medical. His patience with IT issues was remakable. He always had a smile on his face and when he left you too had a smile on your face. They say the good die you, all too true in this case.

If it weren't for Nick J, I would have never realized how great the Violent Femmes were, understood the words to any Pink Floyd song, or owned a Belinda Carlisle cassette tape. I haven't seen Nick in so many years, but I think about him and his brother, Chris, often. No two guys in my life had bigger smiles than they did. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Hey Nick J, I think they have Audi5000's in Heaven :)

I am deeply saddened by the news of Nick's passing. I knew him in our early-mid 20's and we lived together for a while at the Marshall house in St. Paul. Although I had lost touch with him in recent years, I often thought about him and wondered what he was up to. I missed my friend. It is truly heartbreaking to know I'll never get to see his smile again or laugh with him. He introduced me to many different kinds of music and forever changed my life because of it. I will always cherish the memories I have of him. My heart goes out to his family and friends. Rest in peace, Slick 50. I love you. ~Perm

We had a wonderful tribute party for Nick last night.. He was there! I could feel it! I miss you cousin. Rest in peace. xo

My condolences to you, Mary Jo and Chris.

Nick was my friend in junior high. I rode my bike to watch him play on that baseball team with the yellow uniforms. We walked home from school once in a while and he introduced me to the Beastie Boys music. And "bike tricks". He taught me how to correctly use the term "RAD". I can say he was my first real crush. I'm grateful for the memories I have of Nick and the Johnson family. I hope you can all find comfort in your good memories during this time of sadness and healing.

Love,

Nick, although we only knew each other and hung out together for a couple of years, your friendship has always kept a special place in my heart. We had so much fun together back in the day playing dominoes for hours, or listening to Dancehall at your place being goofy, walking the dogs and talking about bikes. You introduced me to Barrington Levy and Tom Yum soup (still my favorite), and took me for the ride of my life (never to be forgotten!) at the autocross track in La Crosse! I'll never forget the look on your face when I gave you a mini model of your RSX! Nick I missed you, and really wanted to get in touch with you again and find out how life was treating you, and I cannot express the sadness I feel to find out I will never get that chance. I will always remember you with happy memories and a heavy heart. My heart and prayers go out to The Johnson's and all who had the pleasure of your acquaintance. You were one of the good ones, Nick!

I hadn't seen Nick in almost 15 years, but I think it's pretty significant that I still thought of him as a friend. I felt we were tight back then, but that was also the kind of guy he was. Always friendly, always relaxed, always smiling. A good man.

I wish we had gotten a chance to catch up. You were taken too young, way too young. I'll miss you, Nico.

Respect.

I am overwhelmed. My late son Peter and Nick became fast friends when we lived in St. Louis Park. Snowboarding bonded them. I remember Nick as a tall, skinny, happy, kind hearted, kid who was such fun to have around. Later Nick shared an apartment with Peter and his girlfriend. I saw Nick last at Peter's wake, and while he'd grown up, he was the same 'kid' I remembered. I am so sorry to hear he's gone. My heart goes out to all of you.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Nicks family and friends. Here is a picture of Nick when we went on a road rally. One of my fondest memories. He and I shared a passion for cars and electronics. I'll miss you Nick. I'll see you at the big race track in the heavens.

To his parents..what a remarkable man you raised. Godspeed and may you find moments of peace within your memories of a soul we all loved.

Back in the day I was Introduced to Nick by Pete Hagen. I was going on sixteen, immediately we were friends. A couple years later we all became roomates and the rest was history. He was inspiring and led fearlessly with confidence. Nick had a deep appreciation for the arts and an ear for music like no other! So incredibly smart he taught me so much and loved to laugh thus he was ALWAYS teasing me. I didn't mind one bit!
Tender hearted and true.

Thank you Nicholas.

May you fly swift and free amongst the stars of heaven..

Love your friend,

Nick was a gifted person in many ways .
He lived a good life and got to experience many great things that most would never have a chance the skills or the drive to accomplish. He was a loyal honest true friend one in a million and one of the crew. He will always be remembered. P.

My heart goes out to the family and many friends of Nick. I have many fond memories hanging out years ago in Mary Jo's basement, watching Nick work on his bike and then riding on the back of it while he peddled around the streets of SLP, feeling so cool! I am very blessed to have known Nick and am deeply saddened by the unexpected loss. I am grateful to still be so close to the family and will always be here for you!

My Dear Sweet Nicholas,

I will so miss your ready smile and how your smile lit up your whole face, laughing with you about something funny or something stupid, our serious talks about everything, your big personality, your teasing and all the little things you did for me. I will always think of you when I read ingredients labels and when my computer has a problem. Mandie is probably so happy to see you. I can just see her tail wagging practically off.

I am honored to have been your mother and will always treasure the time we had on this earth together. Your absence leaves a void no one can fill. There will be a hole in my heart forever and I know I will never be the same.

I love you so much.
