KUCHMAK, Nicholas Raymond M.D. Passed away September 6, 2003 in Plano, Texas, USA. He was born October 27, 1953 in Edmonton, Alberta. He was raised on the family farm in Eldorena. Dr. Kuchmak was the owner of Keystone Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, where he served patients from many countries, and spoke Ukrainian, Spanish, Russian, and English. Dr. Kuchmak was a naturalized United States citizen. He graduated from the University of Alberta and was awarded a medical degree with distinction in 1977. He served his internship in Auckland, New Zealand, and also practiced medicine in Sydney, Australia. He returned to Alberta in 1979 and practiced medicine in Redwater, Alberta until 1983, and in Texas since 1984. He is survived by his daughter, Eveline Barbara Kuchmak; his parents, Walter and Helen Kuchmak of Eldorena, Alberta; sister, Marilyn Aiello and her husband, Walter and their children, Louis and Eric of Durham, North Carolina; his brother, Dan and his wife, Norine; their children, Justin, Megan, Matthew, and Julia of Stony Plain; maternal grandmother, Barbara Melnychuk of Edmonton; and Dr. Kuchmak's fiance, Ramona Notinger of Plano, Texas and her children, Michael and Melanie; also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Prayer Services Monday, September 15, 2003 at 8:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 -111 Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta. Funeral Service Tuesday, September 16, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Radway Agriplex, Radway, Alberta with Reverend Janko Herbut celebrant. Interment will be in Eldorena Cemetery, Eldorena, Alberta. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ukrainian Hall and Ukrainian Catholic Church of Eldorena can be made in care of Sandra Sekersky, Radway, Alberta TOA 2VO.
