My deepest sympathy to you in the loss of your son. I remember Nick from his high school days. Our daughter, Brooke was also a student at DC and had classes with Nick. My heart breaks for what you are going through. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I'm so sorry to hear of Nick's passing. I only remember him as fun and cheerful during school years, he had a great smile that always warmed a room. My condolences.

Dear Mr and Mrs. Varrosi this is SJay Nicks childhood friend I have so many fond memories of Nick and your family. Nick was a special person who really enjoyed life. I had not kept up with him but I am glad to know he blessed y'all with a Grandchild. I know I had not seen Nick since I was 17, but I loved paddle boating with him and accidentally falling in the water lol. I enjoyed growing up with him visiting at y'all's house and Nick was a wonderful friend. Blessings

Lou and Anne,
It was with deep sadness that I learned of Nick's death.Loretta and I send our deepest sympathies to you both. I don't have to remind you that Nick was one of my favorite players when Lou and I coached him at Southern (Lou made surehe was one of my favorites, too). I have many stories about this fine young man. The one Imost recall is the afternoon he taught me a lesson.Nick was pitching and it wasn't going well (most of the time when he pitched I could nap In the dugout). I walked to the mound and called for a relief pitcher.Nick stomped his foot (he was only ten) and fumed. He finally gave me the ball and stormed off. What I didn't realize at the time is that I never explained to him that having an off day is part of the game and to relieve a pitcher was no dishonor. To my regret, I had never gone over that part of the game with him. From that moment and thereafter, I always let any pitcher know what happens when a pitching change was in order. I taught Nick nothing about baseball but Nick gave me a lesson in life. He taught me to always be considerate and thoughtful of a young person's feelings when they may not fully understand the situation. Lou, I loved so much coaching with you and I loved Nick. Anne, I hold you in the highest esteem and it was a privilege not onlyto coach your brother when he was a mere boy, but also your dear, wonderful son. Condolences, Johnny and Loretta Maglinger

Very sad to hear this news, and my heart goes out to all of Nick's family. I hadn't seen Nick for years, but he's a fixture in my memories of Daviess County. You just don't forget a guy like Nick Vorrasi.

My deepest condolences go out to the Vorrasi family. I was so saddened to hear this shocking news. My heart goes out to you at this time of grief. Anne was my 3rd grade teacher and was one the biggest inspirations in my life growing up. I had recently talked w some of her other former students from that year and we were really hoping to lure Anne onto Facebook to tell her what she meant to us . We love you!!
