In Loving Memory of Nicole (Nikki) Storebo:

You are invited to join us in celebrating the remarkable life of Nikki Storebo. Though she left this world sooner that is fair, her spirit continues to illuminate our hearts and minds with the warmth of cherished memories.

Date: May 18th, 2024 Time: 11 am until 3 pm. Location: 13500 Excelsior Blvd., Minnetonka, MN

As we gather to honor Nikki's journey, we will reflect on the joy she brought into our lives, the laughter shared, and the love that forever binds us together. We will weave a tapestry of stories, laughter, and tears, celebrating the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. Please join us for a time of remembrance and celebration as we pay tribute to a life well-lived and a soul deeply loved.

Nikki Storebo, age 40, of Hopkins, Minnesota, passed away on February 18, 2024, after bravely battling leukemia for almost two years. She was born on January 18, 1984, in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, to her loving parents, Jody and Steven Storebo.

Nikki, also known as Nichole Joy Storebo, was a devoted daughter, sister, and advocate for the rights of the developmentally disabled. For the past 10 years, she championed their cause in Washington DC and her home state of Minnesota. Her dedication and passion left a lasting impact on those she fought for.

In her professional life, Nikki worked as a senior Director at Mount Olivet Rolling Acres, where she made significant contributions to the organization.

She will be deeply missed by her family, including her sister Nancy Rolff (Jaymeson), uncles Patrick Jacobson (LeAnn), John Jacobson (Kari), Jamie Jacobson, nieces Cheyenne Williams and Sierra Schuessler (Baily), nephew Shiloh Rolff (Katheryne), and great nephews and niece Max, Wyatt, and Willow.

Nikki's love for cats was evident in her life, as she cherished her feline companions Emmett, Pip, Luna, Dobby, Batman, Mick, and Teddy.

A memorial service to celebrate Nikki's life will be held at a later date, to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society and Furball Farms Cat Sanctuary.

Nikki's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, as she leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and unwavering dedication to making the world a better place.

I had the great pleasure of meeting and getting to know Nikki when we were in college together. A number of dear friends and I had the joyous opportunity to have Nikki work on group projects with us. Her infectious smile, and the happiness that was always percolating from her was something we all enjoyed; she truly was a special person and will be dearly missed. God bless you Nikki.
My sincere condolences to Nikki´s family and friends.

I'm very sad that we lost this amazing woman! She started out as my friend and later became my supervisor. She fought so hard to beat AML saying that death was not an option. She and I presented at the 2022 ANCOR Conference on Resilience. She said that if it weren't for her strong resilience, cancer would have won (so much sooner). I loved my friend and miss her terribly!

I was lucky enough to meet Nikki at The Jay Leno show in L.A. We went to see the taping of Kristen Stewart. (Twilight Days) We instantly became online friends and kept in touch over the years. I last messaged her at the beginning of December and exchanged Christmas cards. I´ll forever remember Nikki and am glad to have known her.

I met Nikki through the Twilight fandom back in 2012, and while we never got the chance to meet in person, it was an honor to call her my friend. From random cards, texts, messages, and packages, we and another shared our love of unicorns and Twilight, our love of helping others, and our ups and downs. Twilight may have started it, but we stayed friends because Nikki was such a positive influence and always made me smile no matter what was going on. Nikki: I love you to the moon and back while riding a unicorn. I´m saddened that I won´t get to talk to you again. No one can take your place. Unicorn Trio for Life.

Nikki was a kind and caring coworker and friend. She was a wonderful owner to the cats (Dobby & Mick) I placed with her and her mother. She loved them so much. She would send cute pictures and updates to me, often with a funny story. She always had a moment to spare to answer a question or say hi. She gave great advice! Some of the best advice she gave me was the unsolicited advice that most friends wouldn´t give.

A beautiful light gone too soon! Nikki was such a positive force. Her courage the last two years was amazing. She never stopped caring about everyone around her even when she was going through the worst. I will miss her laugh and her spirit.
