Nick Daniels III was a bass player and mainstay of the New Orleans funk scene best known as the co-bassist and co-vocalist for Dumpstaphunk. Nick Daniels III was a New Orleans funk legendary who was one of the greatest bassist players in music history. May the love and many, many special memories you shared with your devoted loved one show how much your life was touched by him. May the God of comfort bless your grieving hearts with strength, loving kindness and peace as the world copes with loss the of Nick Daniels III. May his music talent keep his memory alive forever.

I first met Nick in Baltimore at a Dumpstaphunk show. We stayed in touch with each other over the years. Nick was an awesome soul always smiling and had an upbeat outlook. He will be missed by the entire music community, his family and his bandmates and the folks he met along the way

I remember when Nicky "boo" played we my brother Bernard "bunny" I was about 10 years old I loved to hear them play. Now he and Bunny are singing with the Angels. RIP

Seeing Dumpstaphunk for the first time on Oct 5th 2008 in STL back when Lucas School House was bringing in music, I spoke to Nick for the first time. Such a humbled talent who will never be forgotten. RIP Nick.
