Nick Sonny Doutis, 87, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025, in Mesquite, Nevada. Born on September 5, 1938, in Magna, Utah, Nick lived a life grounded in family, tradition, and faith.

He attended Cyprus High School in Magna before serving honorably in the U.S. Army, where he was stationed in Germany. His time in the military reflected his strong sense of duty and devotion to service.

On June 26, 1972, Nick married Sheila Hawley. Their union was filled with shared memories and enduring love. Though Sheila preceded him in death, her spirit remained a guiding presence throughout his life.

Nick embraced the joys of everyday life. He loved golfing—especially with his brothers—bowling, fishing, and cooking hearty meals. Time spent with family and his two loyal dogs brought him great happiness. Known for his sharp wit and storytelling gift, he had a way of bringing people together through laughter and warmth.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughters Sheri, Laura, Coral, and Jana; numerous grandchildren; sister Helen (Lynn); brothers Tony (Mary) and Harry; sisters-in-law Jean and Janet; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sheila; parents Harry and Mary Doutis; brothers Bill, George, and Ted; and several nephews.

In his later years, Sheri provided devoted care that brought comfort and dignity to her father's final days—a true reflection of love returned.

May Nick's memory be eternal. His life of service, humor, and quiet strength will continue to inspire all who knew him.
