Dear Mr and Mrs Gerber,

I want you to know how deeply sorry I am. Nick and I were friends a few years ago, and some of my fondest memories are of times I spent with him. Late night pizza...the evolution wars...Dropkick Murpheys...The Evil Dead...his dirty kitchen. I regret losing touch. I owe a lot to him.

Sincerely,

Caroline Keller

Dear Bruce & Susan,

Let me reiterate my sincere condolences on your tragic loss. I'll mostly remember Nick as he was during his high school years, although as I understand, he had matured to become a fine young man working hard to make his way toward a promising future. He lives on in all our memories. I hope you can find some comfort in the fact that you were both good parents, and loved Nick very much.

Sincerely,

Steve Eshleman

Nick was one of my former students at GCC. We kept in touch on a regular basis through Trader Joes. I will miss him dearly as will we all. He was an extraordinary young man with a quick smile and a huge heart. I can't believe that he is gone.
