It was so good to see Auntie Louise and Debbie and family at the end of June. It would have been perfect if Uncle Don was able to be there as well as Karen and family.
My thoughts are with you.

I met Don, Louise and their daughters when I stayed with them for many months in the early fifties while working in Edmonton and studying to get into university in Vancouver. I remember Don as a kind and happy man with a ready smile who was always ready to help anyone.
Don was understandably proud of his great family and he was kind enough to make me feel welcome in his home as part of the family during my time in Edmonton.
Don was also proud of his association with Trans Canada Airlines (now Air Canada) and I remember how enthousiastic he was when the first "Super Connie" landed in Edmonton.
My thoughts are with Louise, Debbie and Karen at this difficult time.

We have known the Fiske family since the early sixties, at which time Don conscientiously worked for what is now Air Canada. We recall once when he returned home from a shift how impressed he had been having shown Prince Philli the flight deck on a Royal aircraft that had landed at Edmonton Inernational for refuelling, after which he was invited to share a cup of tea and a friendly chat with the Queen. The only trouble was when he got home none of his family believed him, until he picked up the 'phone to call his mother. We always respect the fact that Don and Louise stood in for Michael's parents in England when we were married, and kept in touch with them whenever they were in the country.
Our love and thoughts are with you all at this very sad time.

I had the pleasure of working on Don's crew at both the Edmonton Municipal and interational Airports back in the days of Trans Canada Ailines. Don was a very kind, gentle and good man. Don was never critical of anyone who ever worked with him or whom he came in contact with. Our depest condolence to his wife Louise and family.
