To my dear sister,, Joan and her family. When a loved one passes away it is important to remember all of their life - how it began as well as major turning points and special memories. I recall Nick from over 50 years ago as he became a part of our family thru his courtship with you, Joan and your eventual marriage. My memory is of him being full of life and fun and adventure. There was nothing he wouldn't take on - he seemed fearless. His love of the outdoors was infectious - he wanted to bring everyone along on his adventures. He seemed bursting with an inner joy and enthusiasm. That's how I remember Nick. He was finally tired and ready to move on to his next adventure. We keep a candle lit for his journey. May he be ever guided by the light of our loving God. Love and prayers to you all, Elizabeth & Ian

I remember the ice fishing trips we went on with Nick, they were very memorable, I still laugh about one particular time the back end of the station wagon broke through the ice when we were crossing the river, the next day Sally asked me why her dads boots were full of water. Remember the good times and know he's in a better place.
