NICK PETRAS Obituary
October 5, 1922 ~ October 6, 2013
It is with great sadness the family of Nick Petras, formerly of Kelliher, SK announces his peaceful passing at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina, SK on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the age of 91 years and 1 day. He was predeceased by his wife, Stella (Babiak); parents Mike and Anna; daughter-in-law Elaine Petras; sister Pauline; brothers Bill, John, Alex, Joe, and Peter. Nick will be forever remembered by his loving family: children Myron (Donna) of Ituna, SK and their family Mark (Tammy) and their daughter Addyson, Lori (Sean) Riordan and their children Layne and Brendan, and Cheryl (Leigh) Wilson and their daughters Olivia and Sydney; Elaine (Tom) Westgard of Pike Lake, SK and their family Tracy and his children Niko, Macy and Stella, Lanny (Jaime), and Cherine (Trevor) Russell; Bryan (Linda) of Kelliher, SK and their family Amanda, Scott (Charlene) and their sons Kaden and Chey, Randy (Kelly) and their sons Kody and Karter; Nadine (Ian) Morris of Fort Qu'Appelle, SK and their family Regan (Amy) and their sons Blake, Jacob and Cade, Becky (Dustin) Hurl and their children Ruby and Isaac, and Brandy (Brian) Webb and their daughter Farrah; Cyndi (Bryan) Sigurdson of Regina, SK and their family Bryanna, Bryttany and Brydan; Melanie (Alan) Kosloski of Regina, SK and their family Matthew and Alannah; and Marcie (David) Brennan of Marshall, SK and their family Kimberly, Ryan and Haley; as well as many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. Nick was born on October 5, 1922 near Buchanan, SK and later moved with his family to Bankend, SK. He married Stella on October 9, 1949. They farmed north of Kelliher for many years before retiring into town. Shortly after Stella's passing Nick moved to Regina where he spent the remainder of his years. A PRAYER SERVICE will be held at St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Kelliher, SK on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Catholic Church on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. Nick will be laid to rest along side his wife Stella at the St. Vladimir's Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vladimir's Church, Kelliher, SK. S0A 1V0. Family and friends are invited to sign a book of condolences online at www.regina-memorial.ca.
