Every time this comes up on my phone, it makes me smile ,Nick showed, great humility and love for others. His family must be very proud of his legacy such a big one for such a short time. God bless the family.

I feel pain for Dr. Valilis and his family. Dr. Valilis has been treating me for AML for almost seven years now and has made himself completely available to me in spite of all he is going through. May the good Lord speed Nick to a special place in heaven and may his family find comfort in knowing that he is safe in God's arms.

Dear Valilis Family,
Our family is saddened to hear of the loss of your son, Nick. Knowing someone so kind and gentle has left us at such a young age is difficult to comprehend.
Growing up in the church with your family ,we had the pleasure of witnessing what a special person he was. During the annual Greek festival, he'd often be in charge of tending to the children and was always so patient, fun, and helpful. It is no surprise that he grew into a wonderful man who will be greatly missed.

We know there are no words to ease this loss, but always remember that he will be fondly missed by many. We grieve with your family and friends during this painful time and offer our sincerest condolences.

We are so sorry for your family's loss. Words alone cannot express how heavy our hearts felt at the news. We have had the privilege to know Nick's father, "Dr. Valilis" and he is amongst the kindest and most compassionate of physicians that we have ever known. We can see from the obituary and the legacy that Nick is leaving behind in his short time here, that he had the same caring and kind intelligence as his father. May you all find comfort in the memories and joy that he brought to you and the legacy of compassion for patients that he created. We will be buying his pill box for my father, fighting CLL. I am terribly sorry for your loss.

I had the pleasure of being a roommate with Nick during the Stanford EPGY summer camp in high school. I was new to this country and Nick was incredibly warm and encouraging. His friendship made that one of the best summers I've ever had. Nick gave me the confidence to face the trials and tribulations ahead. I am saddened that we lost such a smart and caring friend.
